How do I fix missing contact names when exporting VCF to CSV?

Some of my VCF contacts only show phone numbers after converting them into CSV. The names disappear completely, even though they appear correctly when I open the VCF file in a text editor. Im not sure if this is a formatting issue or if the converter Im using just doesnt read certain fields. I need a way to keep the original names intact during conversion so the CSV stays usable.

The converter has likely failed to read the FN or N fields in the VCF structure when this kind of problem occurs. Different devices save names in different ways, so a simple converter might not find some entries. I faced a similar problem while I was attempting to export VCF contacts to CSV. What helped me was changing to Softaken vCard to CSV Converter because it can recognize both formatted names (FN) and structured names (N) even in the older backups. Besides that, it also changes the different name fields so that they are not removed completely during the export process. The preview made me sure that each contact name was correct before the CSV was saved. After that, it was just a matter of going through the names to check and see that every name, whether it was a single, multiple or contained special characters, was still in the final CSV. That way, it is completely safe to transfer contacts to another app if you do not want to lose the identity information.
