I have been doing some searching and it seems most of these self defense forums are just advertising with little meat between the words.

I am really interested in buying some self-defense weapons for me (while traveling/jogging) and for my wife (I mean to keep the weapon at home). but I don't know much about weapons and I am not a tough guy. So can you please tell me that what kind of weapon will suit my requirements and about the illegal issues of keeping them

1. A self defense weapon is a tool for imparting violence on to another person.
It is not always lethal, but always has the potential to be.
2. Violence itself is not exclusive to the so-called tough or strong.
Ordinary people use it everyday. If done improperly,
they are called criminals.
3. Best portable weapon is the human mind. It's always there to be used.
Any other weapon should only follow the commitment of the mind.

Hi thanks a lot for this post as I was really interested in buying self defense weapons....These days I was in search of many sites that could put out their stuff but I was not satisfied with that and very soon I'm gonna set one weapon out for myself to be the toughest in martial arts...thank you
